The Quality Supervisor is accountable for overseeing day-to-day quality control operations to ensure all products meet customer requirements and comply with quality standards. This role manages and trains the quality team, implements and assesses the effectiveness of corrective and preventative measures, and actively promotes a strong quality culture across the plant. The Quality Supervisor will engage in systematic problem-solving, develop and refine processes, and ensure quality checks are maintained within required tolerances. This role also involves reporting on daily quality findings, identifying quality trends, and maintaining comprehensive records of quality performance metrics.
Additionally, the Quality Supervisor will manage nonconforming products, issue conformance certificates, and conduct risk assessments to mitigate potential quality issues. They will monitor and maintain quality equipment calibration and ensure the quality work area is organized and safe. As part of the continuous improvement process, the Quality Supervisor will track and trend supplier returns and customer goods returns, conducting root cause analysis and coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to implement corrective and preventative measures, verifying their effectiveness. Through strong leadership and collaboration, this role contributes to a plant-wide commitment to quality, building awareness and accountability among all team members.
